Examine the last busy years of President Rutherford B. Hayes’ life after he returned to his beloved Spiegel Grove. Hayes looked forward to coming back to Fremont after his four years in the White House.
As he did throughout his life, Hayes packed an extraordinary amount of accomplishments into those dozen years.
This program will discuss many of these activities, and also serve as an introduction to the bicentennial year of Hayes’ birth to be celebrated in 2022.
